Apr 6, 2005: RumoursWe've been hearing murmurs from some people in the know at saltlight that plans are in the works for a follow-up album to This Way Up to be released early next year. You heard it here first!Apr 19, 2004: Still busyThe saltlight team have still been busy playing at churches and supporting other Christian artists around Sydney. Vron Abednego and Tom Barrett were the backing vocalists at the launch of Deb Fung's second album "Higher Way" on Mar 20, where This Way Up was also available for sale. On Apr 4, Tim and Vron performed On that day and Turn as part of an evangelistic service at ACC, St Paul's Anglican Church, Carlingford, and Vron will be taking a band to the Indonesian Presbyterian Church in Randwick on June 20. Check out the upcoming events page for more details.Mar 15, 2004: This Way Up goes visualsaltlight recently worked in conjunction with Anglican Media's Total Visual Solutions on an instrumental version of This Way Up to be used for future videos produced by TVS. The very first This Way Up soundtrack was used in the recent "College Life" video, which aired at the Moore College graduation ceremony, held at Sydney Town Hall on 8 March.more>>
Some of those in the audience immediately recognised the track He called us here, credited to our very own Tom Barrett.
What a buzz to see the words "copyright saltlight productions" flash up on screen! It is really exciting to see how God is continuing to use the music from This Way Up in many different ways. 'Til next time...
Feb 25, 2004: New photos onlineSome new photos have been added to the gallery: our interview on FM103.2, our performance at KYC, and more photos from the This Way Up launch. Check them out!Jan 29, 2004: The Road Less TravelledThis was the theme for this year's Katoomba Youth Convention and it was a huge challenge to think about the impact that following our Lord and Christ Jesus has on our lives. The saltlight performers, committee, and cheer squad had heaps of fun in the mist and rain. It was great that so many of us could make it for one of the last performances by the 2003 This Way Up songwriters as a group.more>> Tom performed Nobody else on Sunday morning with some of the KYC band members and it was a fun, toe-tapping way to get the couple of thousand people there to realise and revel in the sovereign God and creator of everything. Vron, Tim and Tom performed Turn during the evangelistic session on Sunday night. Despite Vron stressing out about forgetting the words (thanks Tim!), it was a fitting choice and especially encouraging considering the theme of the weekend.
He also sees the struggles
If you're lucky, we'll have updates of pics from the weekend soon!
